The rules of baseball, a typical American sport

History

A baseball game is played with two teams of nine players alternating between defense and attack.

In attack, the players must strike (batter) with their stick a ball thrown by the thrower of the team in defense. Once this ball has been hit, they must run and pass through each of the three field goals before entering the plate.

In defense, the players are responsible for recovering the ball after being struck by the batter. A defensive player is the thrower of the ball (thrown at the batter) also called thrower, he can not physically leave the batter's box until the ball is hit correctly by the batter.

Basics of Baseball

The main purpose of baseball is to simply hit the ball with a club, usually as far as possible and correctly, within the limits of the field, and run through the four bases in the field until you reach the last point or point. is marked.

Unlike most sports in which the duration of the game is fixed for a predetermined time, in baseball, to finish, at least one team must make 27 eliminations, with exceptional exceptions.

Each entry (or entry) ends when players 3 are eliminated, so that the game consists of innings 9. If, at the end of these rounds 9, the teams remain linked, the team which may advance first in the following rounds wins.

The pitcher must send the ball into an imaginary rectangle between the armpits and the batter's knees. After three balls missed by the batter (strikes), he is eliminated.

When the pitcher sends a ball out of frame (at the discretion of the referee), he throws a ball to the batter. After four balls, the pitcher is eliminated and the batter directly gets the first base. When the batter tries to reach a base after hitting the ball, whether he succeeds or not, he will be replaced by another batter.

The batter can choose to hit the ball or not, if the referee considers it to be out of frame, the pitcher loses a ball. If valid, the drummer takes a strike.

If the batter hits the ball, he becomes a runner and is forced to reach the first base, if he does not succeed  he is eliminated.

Runners can stop at a base if they feel they cannot reach the next. They can continue their race on the next throw.

A team scores a point for each of its players who completes a circuit lap by having passed through the three bases, and reaches the plate without having been eliminated.

Goal

The goal of the defensive team is to eliminate three attackers, thereby going into attack and in turn attempting to score points.

A team can only score a point if it is in attack position. A point is scored as soon as an offensive player enters the race, in one or more phases of play, by each of the three bases of the playing area and rejoins the starting base (base from which he struck the ball ).

Game play

The players of the attacking team take turns batting. Their goal is to hit the ball thrown by the pitcher and to run from goal to goal to reach home plate (starting base) and thus score a point (it moves counter-clockwise). However, the batter does not have to hit all of the balls thrown by the pitcher. In fact, the batter must take into account the strike zone comprised in height between the knees and the armpits and in width, that of the marble. Each ball that the batter tries unsuccessfully to strike, whether in the area or not, is also called a strike. If it is not in the grip area, it is a bad ball. When the batter has four bad balls on his own account, he automatically obtains the first base.

Strategies

The strategy of attacking players is to get to at least the first goal, 토토사이트 so hoping that the following teammates push him to the second goal and so on. The players can also make circuits (home run), that is to say return the ball outside the limits of the playing field so that the defenders cannot catch the ball. Players can also "steal" a goal, that is, the attacking player runs to the next goal hoping not to be hit by a defensive player with the ball.

Referees

There are up to four referees on the field during an MLB game. The central referee (umpire) is responsible for all operations, he is placed behind the catcher near the plate. The other three referees are placed near each of the three goals.
